2000 Chevy K2500 Custom 4x4

SOLD! Over $40,000 worth of upgrades were added to make this Off Road Magazine’s May of 2000 cover and centerfold truck. This monstrous K2500 is a rust free 4X4 2500 crew cab with just over 28,000 original miles that just arrived from California . This was the vision of one of American Racing’s custom wheel brand managers and has been the cover truck on their brochures and catalogs from 2001 to 2006. The 7.4 liter big block has a Whipple Charger boosting torque to 590 lb-ft which enables this rig to pull and climb even better than it looks! The pressurized mix produced by the Whipple Charger is controlled by the MSD 6A ignition firing through MSD 9mm wires. The exhaust is handled by Edelbrock nickel plated headers connected to an Edelbrock 3 inch exhaust system with Edelbrock Victor mufflers. The extra power sent to the already beefed up factory 4L80E transmission is brought up to standards with a Jet Performance Power Shift Plus and Speed Control computer upgrades. The rear end is a 14 bolt equipped with a limited slip and a custom differential cover. The suspension looks pretty but was built for the toughest of terrains. The front end was lifted 8 inches with R.C.D. components including drop down brackets for the control arms, lateral compression struts, shock hoops and lower dual shock mounts connected to a pair of Rancho RS 9000’s for each front wheel as well as 1 heavy duty shock with an external oil reservoir for a total of 3 shocks per wheel. For a good ride in town the OE torsion bars were adjusted to fit with the lifted front end providing useable wheel travel. The rear traction bars were custom fabricated out of stainless steel by R.C.D. and are connected to 4 inch blocks and add-a-leaves to dial in the ride height. Each rear wheel has a pair of Rancho RS 9000’s as well as 1 heavy duty shock with an external oil reservoir for a total of 3 shocks per wheel. There is also a Hellwig anti-sway bar. Most of the suspension components were chrome plated which is a perfect compliment to this scorching red crew cab. The braking system was upgraded with Stillen cross drilled rotors and steel braided lines. The interior was tastefully upgraded with a full bevy of Empire Motor Sports aluminum trim pieces that compliment the Stitchcraft seat covers. The stereo system consists of a Clarion flip out screen head unit that controls 2 Kicker Z series 600 amps connected to 4 Kicker RS 6.2 door speakers and 3 XPL 10 inch subs behind the rear seat. The stereo also has a 6 disc changer as well as a video cassette player and a Stinger 1 Farad capacitor to keep that bass hitting hard. The bright red exterior is further enhanced with a Street Scene Speed Grille, Smittybuilt Pro Runner front push bar and nerf bars, Stillen front bumper and wheel flares, 2 sets of front and 1 set of rear PIAA lights, a functional fiberglass cowl hood and body colored door handles. This 4X4 has an integrated, finely crafted and impeccably detailed stance that is nothing short of awesome! This Bitchin crew cab has been a great marketing tool for American Racing, SRT USA and P-LoK. We can leave the SRT and P-LoK logos as they are, remove them completely or we can design and apply something specific for your needs. If you have been looking for a great deal on a custom truck look no further! There has been over 80k invested to create this beast that we are selling for less than 30K.
