2001 Corvette Convertible
The C5 Corvette was produced by Chevrolet from 1997 to 2004. The first truly all-new Corvette since the original, a new generation of designers and engineers achieved higher levels of performance, sophistication and quality. The C5 was designed as a convertible as opposed to a coupe that was subsequently weakened by the removal of the roof structure. The transmission was moved to the rear of the car to form an integrated, rear-mounted transaxle assembly which was connected to the all-new LS1 engine via a torque tube. This move helped facilitate a desirable 50-50 weight distribution which had a profound impact on its handling. The LS1 engine produces 350 hp enabling it to run 0-60mph in 4.7 seconds and the quarter mile in 13.2. The new stronger frame eliminated the squeaks and rattles of the previous models making the C5 better than the C4 in every aspect. This car is nicely optioned with the 4L60-E auto tranny, the upgraded Delco stereo with CD and the 1SB package which includes sport bucket seats, six way power passenger seat, electronic A/C, fog lamps, memory package, twilight sentinel and electro chromatic mirrors. The paint is Quicksilver Metallic and it has a black interior and soft top. Not only is it nicely optioned but it only has 42,689 miles, is in excellent condition and has been serviced regularly. The KBB retail value on the car is $26,165. We know the market is soft and have priced this beauty to move so if you like what you see you better call us before it’s too late!
