1934 Ford Cabriolet Street Rod

This incredible work of art has the absolute best of everything and no expense was spared during its creation. It is a Street Beast 34 Cabriolet with a uniquely designed unitized fiberglass body that looks exactly like a 1934 Ford would have. It is in new condition with just a few break in miles. Over $70,000 worth of parts and thousands of hours of labor have gone into the creation of this Street Rod. The look of this bad boy is sick with or without the removable hard top largely because of the gorgeous combination of colors and graphics that were used on this machine. The red is gorgeous hue from PPG called Jupiter Red Metallic and is very tastefully accented with a custom Silver Metallic stripe that separates it from the Gloss Black top sides. The underside is just as pretty with everything having had been custom painted to accent the top except for the polished and chrome items. The engine is a show quality 350 with a 4 bolt main that was bored .040 over. It was built with Keith Black Performance Alloy Pistons, roller rockers and a healthy cam. It has freshly rebuilt .202 heads and is topped with a complete Edelbrock Pro-Flo 2 fuel injection system as well as Edelbrock valve covers and an air cleaner. The rest of the engine compartment is all painted, chrome or polished as well and is set off with the March Performance chrome pulley system. Spark is controlled by Mallory with a Hyfire 6A digital ignition, Promaster ignition coil and Unilite distributor. Exhaust is handled with a pair of Hedman Street Rod Block Hugger headers and sounds just nasty ripping through the custom dual exhaust system. With the estimated 400+ hp and big wheels we decided we better upgrade the brakes so they are all disc with cross drilled and slotted rotors for a little extra grip. The tranny is a performance built 700R4 with a 2,000 stall, a Lokar shifter (and linkage) and is connected to the 8.8” rear end with a custom built aluminum drive shaft. The custom interior includes a Glide Engineering bench seat wrapped in a combination of black leather and snakeskin. The doors have a custom stripe accenting the interior in addition to custom component speakers, arm rests, map pockets and billet door handles. You will also find a custom built center console, a billet steering wheel, billet switches, power windows, door poppers, heat, A/C, defrost and a touch screen Eclipse DVD/NAV head unit. The trunk lid is opened and closed by the push of a button with a linear actuator and beautifully displays the custom mounted (and lit) 5 channel amp and the 10” subwoofer. The sub enclosure was designed so that the port opens in the interior of the car for an incredible sound and is completely hidden in the floor of the trunk. The custom chrome billet rims add the finishing touch with 22’s on the rear and 18’s up front both wrapped with Nitto NT tires. We plan on selling this car with No Reserve at Mecum’s St Charles auction on 09/17/11.
