1930 Cadillac 353 Fisher Bodied 5 Passenger Coupe

This is an incredible piece of history! You have found a very original Fisher- Bodied 1930 Cadillac 5 passenger coupe in complete driving order. The black paint is all lacquer and approximately 40 years old. The overlying silver is base coat, clear coat, about 20 years old and has held up well. The original 353ci V8 engine is equipped with high compression heads and runs great. The original updraft carb was professionally rebuilt as were the generator and starter. The starts right up, purrs nicely and shifts clean with it’s original synchro mesh 3 speed manual transmission which was rebuilt about 15 years ago. The interior was redone about 15 years ago as well and looks great as it has seen very little usage since. It is mostly original except for the dash mounted switches for the headlights and horn. The mechanism for raising the windshield was rebuilt at the same time as were the window regulators. It has been recently tuned up, has a new battery and a set of vintage Trippe lights were also added to the front bumper. It was factory optioned with demountable wood wheels which were recently lacquered to preserve them as well as the elegant Flying Lady hood ornament. All in all this is a very well preserved car that can be driven as is for car shows and parades. It would also be an excellent car to restore as it is almost completely rust free and in incredible shape for a car of its age. We would classify this as an average conditioned car but have priced it as being below for a quick sale. There are not many of these left so if you like what you see you better call us before it is too late!
