1940 Chevy Elvis Street Rod
This gorgeous one of a kind street rod was built by Hot Rod Builders out of Menomonee Falls, WI at a cost of over $60,000. It is all steel with the exception of the running boards and the widened rear fenders which were needed to cover the fat 295/50R15 BF Goodrich Radial T/A’s in the back. The all steel floor was lowered 6 inches and channeled. The exterior was painted in 1999 when the car was built in a gorgeous Super-Sonic Blue that has hint of purple in the light. The sides have guitars ghosted in a sweet shade of pink and the trunk lid has an incredible image of Elvis standing next to this car carrying a guitar that is simply a work of art. You will also notice a small portrait of Elvis in front of the radiator in the engine compartment along with the letters T C B which of course stands for “Taking Care of Business”. If by chance you are not a fan of the custom Elvis paintings we can easily have them removed. It is really hard to believe the car was painted 12 years ago as it still shows like new. You will find the incredible paint work is really set off with all of the chrome, tinted windows and a sweet set of Progressive billet wheels. The heart of this bad boy is a 350 that was bored .030 over at the same time the car was repainted. It was built for performance and is estimated to put out about 350 horsepower. It sounds just plain nasty ripping through its glass packs with the aide of the high rise intake and performance headers. The performance built 700R4 tranny is controlled by a B&M ratchet shifter and has no problem putting the power to the 12 bolt posi rear end with 3:73 gears. It has a mustang II front end with disc brakes which are needed to help stop all the power. The interior was professionally done and is completely customized with newer bucket seats, a custom center console, custom door panels, a custom headliner, a billet steering wheel, custom gauges, a new wiring harness and a completely custom trunk. You will also find a custom amplified sound system with subs hidden in the trunk area along with the amp. With just 9,733 since its build this beauty is still like new and with an asking price that is half off the build cost it is priced to move!
