1941 Chevy Special Deluxe 2 Door Town Sedan

The Chevrolet Special Deluxe was introduced late in the 1941 model year with a completely new body that had concealed safety steps instead of running boards. Additionally the headlamps were incorporated into the fenders and the name “Special Deluxe” could be found in chrome block letters on the rear sides of the hood. The exterior sported smooth curves with chrome and stainless trim. This particular beauty retains its original 216 ci inline 6 cylinder “Blue Flame” engine with just over 120,000 miles on it as well as its original manual synchromesh 3 speed ("three-on-the-tree") transmission. She also retains her original hydraulic brakes, lever type shock absorbers and vacuum actuated windshield wipers. The interior had cloth bench seats, a metal dash, a mono vacuum tube type radio with integrated speaker and a clock integrated into the glove compartment door. On the left side of the radio there was a knob labeled "T" that operated the throttle and on the right side was the choke lever. This engine on this car was rebuilt back in the 80’s (approximately 10,000 miles ago) and runs incredibly well. At the same time the car was repainted. The paint still shows well but is of driver quality. The interior is about 4 – 5 years old and shows like new.
