1946 FORD STREET ROD
This all steel street rod started as a completely stock 1946 Ford Super Deluxe 2 door 5 passenger coupe that was in incredible condition. The only real issues it had were some soft spots in the front floor boards. This area was cut out and completely replaced. The rest of the car is all metal and rust and bondo free including the frame, fenders, rockers, running boards, etc. The original engine was replaced with a V8 flat head out of 49 Mercury that was rebuilt about 6 years and 500 miles ago and runs incredibly well. The 3 speed manual floor shift tranny and rear end were rebuilt at the same time as the engine and you can tell as the car is a pleasure to drive. At the same time the new engine was installed it was converted to 12V with the aid of a new “Painless” wiring system. About 5 years ago the car went out for new paint and then was followed with a new interior which combined only have a couple of hundred miles on them total. The brakes and suspension are original but have been recently serviced and work perfectly. The end result is a completely “Ford” Street Rod that is true to what a Hot Rod would have been like in the 50’s. If you have been considering a Ford Street Rod this one is completely finished and only in need of a new driver. If you have been thinking about a project car think again because you would never be able to build a car like this for what we are asking!
