1950 Pontiac Cheiftan Silver Streak 8 Sedan
The Pontiac Chieftain Silver Streak series owes its distinctive shape to GM styling chief, Harley Earl. This well proportioned beauty is optioned with the 268ci straight 8 engine which is distinguished by a number 8 between the words Silver and Streak on the front fenders. The straight 8 was produced from 1933 to 1954. During its 21 year run displacement of the 8 increased twice with this version being factory rated at 108hp. The Pontiac 8 was promoted as a likable automobile with enough power to get the job done in affordable luxury. This particular example is optioned with the Hydramatic transmission, a sunvisor, bumper guards and fender skirts. It was repainted about 15 years ago in its original colors of Tarragon Green and Berkshire Green and it still shines beautifully. The grey interior is completely original and has held up incredibly well. The odometer reading is 77,201 which is believed to be accurate. The car was in storage for the last few years and has just received a complete tune up, all new fluids and filters. The only thing it is need of is someone to drive it. We would consider this to be an above average quality car considering its age. With an average NADA value of $12,810 you will see we have priced this beauty to move. If you could see yourself cruising in this classic don’t wait to call as it could be too late!
