1952 FORD F1 PICKUP TRUCK
The first F-Series truck was introduced in 1948. It was a modern looking truck with a flat, one-piece windshield and integrated headlights. All F-series were available in " Marmon-Herrington All Wheel Drive" until 1959. Design of the F-Series truck changed little from 1948 to 1952. From 1948 to 1950, the grill was a series of horizontal bars and the headlights were set into the fenders. For 1951 and 1952, the headlights were connected by a wide aerodynamic cross piece with three similarly aerodynamic supports. The rear window was wider in the later trucks and the dashboard was redesigned. This particular example is a 3 owner (2 family) vehicle with 55,829 original miles. It was completely restored by the second owner in 1992 at which time it had just barely turned 51,000 miles. It is completely original with the exception of the fact that it was professionally converted to 12 volt in 2004 by the 3 rd and current owner. The restoration has held up incredibly well but it is a 20 year old restoration. The original 239ci Flathead V8 never required rebuilding and still runs strong to this day as does the original 3 speed Synchro Mesh transmission. Not only does it retain its original equipment it also has been preserved in its original colors. Factory options include the passenger windshield wiper, passenger side tail light and the chrome accents on the hood. This car has been regularly serviced and is in need of nothing with the exception of the fact that the tail gate is being held up by a zip tie. All in all this is an above average truck that has been priced as an average truck for a quick sale so don’t wait to contact us as it might be too late!
