1964 Oldsmobile Starfire

This gorgeous Starfire has just been treated to a frame-off restoration. The frame was media blasted and painted. The bumpers, rocker panels and most of the trim were re-chromed and shine like new again setting off the classic step styling of this great classic. The laser straight body was treated to a first class paint job in its original color of Pacific Blue and has a mirror shine. This original two owner 29,369 mile car has the original numbers matching Ultra High Compression Olds 394 engine (#18736542) that was re-painted and fit with all new gaskets, fluids and filters. The engine is rated at 345 HP with an impressive 440 foot pounds of torque. The original Rochester 4bbl carburetor and air cleaner were replaced with a smooth Edelbrock 750cfm 4bbl carburetor for excellent drivability. The original carb. and air cleaner are included with purchase. The engine is joined by the original smooth Roto-Hydramatic transmission that still shifts effortlessly. A newer exhaust system is in place and really gives you that great Olds V-8 rumble. New brakes and cylinders produce confident braking. The white on black interior is in amazing shape given its age and the beautiful dash is perfectly accented by the steering wheel that is still in perfect condition which is rare on these models. The headliner and package trayare original and in excellent condition. Some of the rare factory options include power windows, power steering, power brakes and power antenna. The windows go up and down quickly and quietly as does the antenna. All of the glass is in great shape showing clean and clear. The engine compartment and trunk compartment are show quality as is the rest of this fine old cruiser. This classic beauty still has its original spare tire that has never been down plus the jack appears to have never been used. It has been tastefully upgraded with date-code-correct rare 2 bar spinner hubcaps that sparkle. The original complete set of hubcaps in good condition will be included in the purchase as will several restoration parts including new door seals with new “Starfire” and “Ultra High Compression” air cleaner plates.
