1968 Corvette 427 Convertible
This beautiful Rally Red Corvette has its numbers matching L36 427ci / 390 hp engine that was completely rebuilt within the last 1500 miles. The M-21 transmission and posi traction rear axle (G81) with 411R gears are original to the car as well and both have recently been serviced. At the same time that the engine was rebuilt and driveline was serviced it also received a new clutch, the radiator was re-cored and the rear wheel bearings were replaced. With a freshly rebuilt block and a recently serviced drive line this car runs perfectly! Not only does it run great but it was professionally repainted in March of 2009 and right after it was finished it received a new white soft top. At about the same time as the recent repaint the suspension was gone through and it received new control arms, bushings, strut rods, a shim kit and a 4 wheel alignment. This beauty is completely original except for the power steering that was added in 2008 and the aftermarket radio. Both the original steering rack and radio will be included with your purchase. The current owner is very detailed orientated and has kept this car up with passion. We have receipts for all of the work he did including the engine rebuild. This classic Vette was originally restored back in the 80’s and has had just over 19,000 miles since. During the 1 st restoration the under body was painted in its original 3 shades of black so that the car is correct from top to bottom. Factory options on this beauty include Soft Ray tinted glass (A01), headrests (A82), telescoping wheel (N36), auxiliary hardtop (C07) with vinyl covering (C08) and the radical side pipes referred to as the off road exhaust system (N11). The black hard top is not in the pix but is included and is in the same shape as the rest of the car. With its long list of desired options, service history and current condition this 4 speed Corvette is certain to be a solid investment that could be driven on a regular basis.
