1968 GTO Convertible

This gorgeous convertible has 83,319 original miles, was completely restored within the last year and shows like new. It started life as 1968 LeMans Convertible but was badged as GTO during its restoration. During the restoration the previous owner decided to use doors from a 69 GTO to get rid of the window vents. The 400ci engine was professionally rebuilt in March of 2010 and sounds incredible ripping through the 2.5 aluminized exhaust with performance mufflers. At the same time the turbo 350 was rebuilt with a 2500 stall and a shift kit which effortlessly delivers power to the posi rear end with fresh 3:08 gears. It has nice list of factory options which include a power top, power brakes with discs up front, power steering and an Endura front bumper. In addition to the 69 doors you will also find a couple of other custom options which include the new Specialty 17” aluminum rims that were designed to look like the original 15” steel rims as well as a custom i-Pod compatible Alpine stereo, custom kick panels with 6.5” speakers and 4” Alpine speakers in the dash. Everything on this car is in perfect working order except for the headlight doors. They don’t work with the switch but can be manually operated. All said and done almost $30,000 was spent on the restoration of this beauty within the last year. We know times are tough and have priced this car accordingly for a quick sale.
