The engine is a strong running date code correct 250 cubic inch straight 6 (casting # 3921968) and is complimented by a freshly rebuilt carburetor, a new cap, new rotor, new points, new wires, new plugs, new ignition coil, and a new voltage regulator. Not only does this awesome 68 Camaro fire up quick and run like a champ it also gets up to 30 mpg on the highway. The smooth 3 on-the-floor 3 speed transmission and the clutch work perfectly together. Recent new replacements include a head gasket, the valve gasket, a oil pan gasket, oil filter, fresh oil, new ball joints, shocks, brakes, tires and battery and all help make this classic 1 st generation Camaro a solid daily driver. The paint is not show quality but still has a nice shine and the body has some filler that is well hidden. The chrome shows well with a few imperfections and the all original interior is in fair to good condition with an added vintage AM/FM cassette player. This gorgeous 68 Camaro is mechanically and electrically sound and surely will not be around for long.
