1979 Mercedes Benz 450SL

This is a nicely documented completely original 450SL Roadster. It was not used in the winter and shows extremely well, especially considering its age. With less than 105,000 miles it has been driven just over an average of 3000 miles a year. In the glove box you will find all of the documents the car was delivered with new including the owner’s manual, warranty booklet, warranty tag, maintenance booklet, punch card and other misc inserts. The car drives out very nicely and everything is working properly except the driver’s armrest. The original paint has held up quite well, the hard top looks great as does the soft top even though it has had a few repairs. The SL (107) chassis had the longest run of any Mercedes chassis which was from 1971 to 1989 (18 years). The big 4.5 Liter V8 became available in North America with the official introduction of the 450 SL in March of 1973. The 107 series today is prized by classic car collectors. Not only does this car represent a sound investment it is an investment that you can actually drive!
