1986 Pontiac Firebird

In 1985 Firebird models underwent a significant facelift and a number of improvements were introduced. The standard Firebird received a restyled nose cone and rear bumper with wrap-around inserts known as "bumperettes". The interior underwent a major redesign as well. The dash was changed to a more elegant rounded-edge look, the gauges themselves now featured a grid pattern on their background and red indicator needles lit-up. The grid pattern theme was extended throughout the dash. A new, ergonomic center console was also introduced featuring a soft rubberized surface and offered much more support for the driver's right arm. In 1986 the Firebird received new tail light styling which featured a smooth, rounded design with a large internal blackout grid, a matching center section featuring a silver Firebird logo and "PONTIAC" script as well as a 3rd brake light mounted atop the rear hatch glass. Also in 1986, the 2.5L 4-cylinder engine was dropped and replaced by the multi-port fuel-injected 2.8L V6 as the standard engine. This particular model is optioned with an automatic transmission, A/C, P/S, P/B, C/C, tilt, AM/FM cassette and T-Tops. This is a one owner car with 16,481 original miles and is in incredible condition. In fact, the only flaws we could find on the car were a few paint chips on the door edges.
